Overview of Billing Practices At Trinity Private Investigators, we believe trust begins with transparency. Before any investigative work begins, we'll discuss your objectives, explain our process, review anticipated costs, and answer your questions so you know exactly what to expect. Standard Rates • Surveillance: $100.00 per hour • Mileage: $0.75 per mile • Investigative Support Services: $25.00 per hour for research, database searches, public records, report preparation, evidence review, and case documentation. Retainers Most investigations require a retainer before services begin. A retainer is not an additional fee—it is a deposit applied toward the cost of your investigation. As services are performed, time, mileage, and authorized expenses are deducted from the retainer. At the conclusion of your case, you'll receive an itemized invoice, and any unused retainer balance will be promptly refunded. Every Case Is Different No two investigations are alike. Depending on the scope, complexity, location, or specialized nature of your case, billing arrangements may be customized. Specialized services, including counter-surveillance, require a confidential consultation before services begin.
